The Swiss International School Dubai (SISD) is thrilled to launch the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Hospitality program for its Grade 11 IBCP students in collaboration with The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM).

As part of the globally renowned Jumeirah Group, EAHM, situated in Dubai, is a leading educational institution specializing in international hospitality business management. It currently holds the top position in the QS Hospitality and Leisure Subject Rankings 2023 for the Middle East and Africa region. This collaboration aims to provide practical experiences to students, nurturing managerial skills, and contributing to EAHM’s commitment to delivering top-quality education in hospitality leadership.

The program covers various facets of business and hospitality, including luxury hospitality, event management, and marketing for hospitality. By offering a comprehensive education, SISD aims to prepare its students for rewarding careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The curriculum kicks off with ‘The Hospitality Industry,’ the first module of eight provided by EAHM, laying a strong foundation for a well-rounded education in hospitality. Going beyond traditional classroom learning, the collaboration includes hands-on experiences at the EAHM campus, guest lectures, panel discussions, and site visits to luxury hospitality hotels and other industry players. The inaugural class included a site visit to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, offering students valuable insights into hotel operations through a guided tour. Subsequent classes featured visits to Jumeirah Al Naseem, exploring the realm of Food and Beverage, and practical classes in service and culinary at the EAHM kitchen and its fine dining restaurant. Additional field trips are planned to provide students with diverse perspectives within the hospitality industry.

Conducted every Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM on the EAHM campus, the hospitality classes offer a rich educational experience spanning from January 2024 to December 2024.

At EAHM, students have access to a variety of programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs in business administration with a focus on international hospitality, Professional Training & Development courses, and study abroad opportunities in the dynamic field of hospitality and tourism.
