Officials at Gulf Shores International Airport (GSIA) have appointed Jesse Fosnaugh, A.A.E., ACE, as the new airport director. With over 18 years of airport management experience, Fosnaugh is expected to lead the airport’s transition from general aviation to commercial operations.
Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft emphasized Fosnaugh’s extensive background in managing and growing commercial service airports, making him an ideal fit for GSIA’s vision. Fosnaugh has also served as an adjunct professor of aviation and has led numerous airport education tours, showcasing his commitment to the field.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science and Administration from Western Michigan University and is set to earn a Master’s degree in Airport Management from the University of Central Missouri in December 2024. Fosnaugh expressed enthusiasm for joining the GSIA team, stating he looks forward to collaborating with the Airport Authority, the City of Gulf Shores, and the FAA to realize the airport’s growth and development plans.
