The latest update to Google Chrome is capable of extending battery life for MacBook.
Google has announced several upgrades to its Chrome web browser that would extend users’ ability to use MacBoook for a prolonged time from a single charge. However, the enterprise is yet to provide any figures. So, it isn’t possible to precisely predict the duration of extra battery time.

Users of MacBooks may now browse the web using Chrome and view YouTube videos for extended periods thanks to enhanced systems like memory compression and JavaScript timers.
“These optimizations will also be applied to Windows, Linux, and Android devices in coming Chrome releases,” says Francois Doray, a software developer at Chrome.

A MacBook Pro 13 (M2, 2022) tested out at 17 hours of web browsing and 18 hours of YouTube video playback.
Google continuously brings new features to its Chrome to prevent users from shifting to other browsers. There are provisions against cyber attacks as well. This version has improvements in the security system along with bug fixes. The security flaws in the last performance will be addressed in the current version.
The changes were announced in December last year.
